Engraving
A form of decorative glasswork, engraving was first developed in the mid-1500s and became very popular in the 17th century. Incising various designs onto a glass surface is a labour-intensive and lengthy process that inevitably changes your engraved glasses into a testament to fine craftsmanship.
Our products are engraved by using the technique of sandblasting that is one of the most desirable etching techniques available today. It helps achieve very precise results leaving the engraved designs scratch resistant, evenly frosted and looking crisp.
With an air compressor powering the system, abrasive is sprayed through a sandblasting gun on to glass covered by a stencil, producing the desired inscription.
The hard abrasives chip the glass surface very lightly, making the final product look very elegant and stand out more.

More about personalisation
All our products are suitable for personalisation. Just browse our website, choose a glass, carafe or napkin ring you like and then click the “Personalise” button. We will suggest the best area for your text. Check how your engraved glass will look like in a live, though somewhat limited, preview, or we can send a more accurate preview in a pdf file to your email address.
Every selected design for engraving will be reviewed by our professional graphic designer and its final version will be discussed with a production manager and you, the customer. Personalisation usually takes 10 to 15 working days. To pack and deliver the products to your address, we need five more working days. Please keep in mind that considering the specific nature of each piece we cannot cancel or amend personalised orders once made.
